The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

if i worked in a White House with an elderly and ailing president who had a hard time staying awake, i would simply recommend against having 3 hour cabinet meetings that are boring af and pointless and best remembered for the fact said president is sleeping on camera

Today was the hardest day of my life. We fought for nearly a decade to bring secure bike parking to NYC and ultimately were completely excluded from the @nyc-dot.bsky.social process for citywide system. To those who believed in us and our vision, I am so sorry.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but I think putting the embittered lawyer who has represented Epstein, OJ, Weinstein and the deeply unpopular current president on your multi billion network is a wonderful idea. He should be on every night ranting and raving about pierogis and pedo plea deals.

Most countries do horrible things in their own national interest. The US manages to do horrible things in the process of sabotaging its own national interests
And I think that's just where we are now as a country, that we were presented with an option to do the right thing both for ourselves and others and we still managed to fuck it up.

The context of this is that a couple days ago MS had to pull a video of a user using Copilot to find out how to change a system font setting (why would this require ai?) and failing.
So much of ai is the proponents demanding that you be impressed then being annoyed if you aren’t.
