Time for a little bit of 90s nostalgia with this one

Album of the day: technical starter listening to this yesterday but was interrupted. A fairly accomplished debut with a quite a unique sound for the time

Album of the day:

I have a real soft spot for Robbie Williams early solo stuff. I like out he tried to reinvent himself post Take That. Admittedly you couldn’t go anywhere in ’97-98 without Angels following you around

Album of the day:
Though I’ve always loved soul music I was a late come to the funk of Sly and The Family Stone. Added this to the collection over half term.

Often blow hot and cold with the majority of the Doors later stuff but love the debut album…

Also our three year old was really getting into it a moment ago! 🤣

Game 10 of the year completed was Double Fine’s Keeper. A really beautifully animated game with light puzzle mechanics. Very reminiscent of The Artful Escape. A very chilled game for half term.

Getting half term off the a good start with couple of albums. One from the collection and eventually getting round to listening to the Biffy Clyro album I picked up last week.

It’s only taken a week to get round to this one. Loved The Last Dinner Party’s debut. Let’s hope they maintain it.

Albums of the (last few) days: Took my daughters for their first meander to a record store. Everyone picked something up. I will let you all decide who bought what! 🤣
Time for a listening party.

Game 9 of the year complete. Very little I can say but what an absolutely astonishing game from start to finish. Stunning to play, look at and with an awesome soundtrack. Clair Obscur: Expedtion 33 is just a wonder.

This great soundtrack has been a constant companion from my youth to now. Had to put it on as I prepared lunch as this weekend I got to introduce the film to my daughters.

Albums of the days (yesterday & today)

What I love about the Jedi series music is how it fits with the Star Wars universe but feels fresh.

And today, I do not agree with NME that it was the greatest British album the week it came out, I do love the raw, more punky sound of Arctic Monkeys debut.

Having bought fear of a black planet a couple of weeks and needed to add this hip hop classic as soon I saw it was on offer!

Game 8 of the Year complete. Mixed bag here. The style and atmosphere of South of Midnight was brilliant. Amazing soundtrack and I love the stop motion. The Deep South folk lore was really good and celebrated the richness of the his heritage. Gameplay was a little repetitive. Worth a look though.

Albums of the last few days:

Spent the past couple of days listening to Micheal Kiwanuka’s back catalogue and purchase his most recent album. All for a stunning and full of soul. He is one of the best modern male vocalists and he deals with complex issues around identity.

Album of the day:

Last of the quartet bought at Mudshark Records in Bangor. Haven’t actually listened to this album in a good few years, one of my favourites at uni even quoted Mr Mathers in a few of my assignments, a little pretentious I know.

I love the stripped back pound of this album. Each track is infectiously chipper.
I have also only just realised that this is anniversary addition that came with an extra 7” single! #payattention

Album of the day Pt 2:
The Alan Wake 2 soundtrack was an instant favourite whilst I played the game. This boxset which includes the chapter songs became a must to add to the collection.
