GM, FORD and Stellantis are losing billions due to tariffs. The losses aren’t sustainable. Waiting for the pain to sink in is the right move. It’s reported that Trump is going to give tariff relief to car companies that assemble in the US. Good for Cdn suppliers.

I sleep better knowing you’re steering this country. Best of luck. It’s in the US’s interest to reduce or eliminate tariffs altogether for car parts, aluminum, steel and lumber. US companies are definitely feeling the pain. Your patience in not rushing into a bad deal is the right strategy.

Trump is back tracking on auto tariffs. Who would have thought that increasing costs on US automakers with tariffs of 25% for parts and 50% for steel and aluminum was a bad idea. Everybody except for the orange idiot.
