Anne Stiefel is very German, very paper, very good, and very 2000s. I don't think she has updated her folio in a while but the work is so good that it works without a hitch. Good works (almost) last forever.

SourceType is an incredible type studio with amazing typefaces, amazing articles, amazing thinking, and an amazing website. Another of those teams from another planet.

Chris Wang is one of the designers behind Tesla's interfaces and that is amazing. Imagine being able to design an interface of that magnitude. One can only dream.

Axel Pelletanche completely owns this almost lost quality of print designers making all the difference by placing something big at the right time. Subtly powerful.

Nothing says graphic status than a slideshow folio with five images working flawlessly. Albert Romagosa is big taste talent.

The Woork is a Madrid based small studio that has found their footing and made a serious jump in quality. I like small going big.

Ultra Kuhl is very much so. But jokes aside, their typefaces are absolutely fantastic, perfect. I am working with a client using one of theirs and I only have praise for Kuhl. Craft.

For all we chat about only showing the best projects, we are all guilty of not applying the lesson. We should learn from Raquel Pallejà, she is showing only six projects with five images each but they are so so well built and presented. Quality.

Creech are at the top top top of consumer branding and this is their moment. Their art direction is what it is going to last forever, it could not be more perfect than this. Absolutely superb. So beautiful.

Felix Wittich's photos have that perfect beige and sand calm I am so very much at home with. This soft light choice builds such a beautiful word look. Is world building a photography thing? It should be.

Jeremy Tribby (@jeremytribby) at CounterType is a type craftsman expert in technical intricacies and artistic subtleties and I, as a long time respecter and fan of craftsmen, salute the type master. One to save for a big project.

Gärde Design Studio is pure Swedish white-cyber and you may say this vibe is very 2010s but I say, until home robots become boring, this vibe is more valid. Also, they produce great type (foundry.gardedesign.se). Super hard working.

I suffer from a certain fetish with print graphic design but I recognise that interface fetish is also a thing worth suffering. I really enjoy the work of people who love interfaces as much as Roko Gabrilo. Clean obsession.

Trackmeet is the studio of Anna McCaleb and Tim Praetzel and if I had a Lodon pizzeria with the best tomatoes, I'll call them. Cool couple doing fun things is a good studio recipe.

Democracia Studio is doing subtle good taste stuff in Valencia, they have the talent to make the jump and they will. Don't like the name but I like the taste and taste is all that matters in this timeline.

In the world of design, being more presentation than substance means solid substance. I like Melody Digital's small type, big spaces, tech presentation. So tech.

A good idea for a brand is to keep it simple and spend a lot of time finding an expensive understated typeface that kills. Frost has just that. The Loro Piana of typefaces.

Talking about designers belonging to a better timeline, Lorena Manhães creates such elegant work with perfect photography that I am already saving for a working interdimensional portal. Beautiful textures.

Paul Rousteau is a star photographer and he is one of the few truly creative in photography. The way he works with bleeding light and distortions is amazing and he is able to make it work for huge clients like Hermés and Vuitton. Magnificent.
