We are delighted to share that Charlotte Mitchell-Dunn has been appointed as a Legally Qualified Advisor (LQA) by the Mayors' Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).

As an LQA, Charlotte will be responsible for providing legal and procedural advice to Police Misconduct Panels in the London Region.

Gary Hayes acted for 38th Defendant Paul Preston in the SKAT v Solo Capital Partners LLP case. In a judgment delivered by Mr. Justice Andrew Baker on Thursday 2 October 2025, the Court found that SKAT had failed to establish any of the claims.

Nicola Thompson has successfully appealed a sentence of 22 months’ custody for a client who pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order. The Court of Appeal agreed that his sentence was manifestly excessive and reduced it to 12 months. Nicola was instructed by Anne Woodcock, Anne Woodcock & Co.

Nicola Thompson, led by Genevieve Moss, has secured the acquittal of a man charged with possession of a firearm after a complex eight-week trial at Kingston Crown Court. He was tried alongside three men charged with attempted murder following a shooting in South London in February last year.

I represented the Free Leaseholders coalition in their application on Friday, instructed by Paul Ridge of @bindmans.com, stepping in for my colleague Laura Collignon. We all acted pro bono.

I was really struck how long these leaseholder support groups have been at the front line. 50+ years!
