I doubt that it will be finished just because of McLaren's exit (who has never manufactured an EV car); not when you factor in Asian viewings, which had very high viewing figures last season (Especially in China as they have a substantial fanbase). Besides, BYD has been flirting to join the series.

This is a great opportunity for BYD to step in as the replacement manufacturer considering their potential involvement last year.
