MM romance author. Jagged Shores and Anthem series
A lovely time in Durham City today. Special thanks to the best husband for treating me to a posh lunch at Coarse too. Highly recommended especially for their dairy free adaptations.

Alfie Boe has gravy on his rider when performing! There's a man after my own heart. It's should come with everything in my opinion.

I'm making slow but steady progress back into my WIP after a tough few weeks. If I can keep at it, a first draft by Christmas is looking like a good possibility. With a publication date of next July, I really need to get this down.

When I was a kid this bay was my absolute favourite place. It ignited my imagination in so many ways. It's lovely to be back here today. Eventually, I want my ashes scattered down there - in a very long time from now.

Mentally, my trip away last weekend was everything I needed. But physically, it's wiped me out. Hacking cough, fever, shivers, aching all over 🤒😫 Trying to pull it together with rest, paracetamol, honey and lemon before dad's funeral on Friday.

OMG. The Sunday afternoon pub crawl seemed like such a good idea at the time.

I just reread The Sluts by Dennis Cooper. 20 years later and this book is as brutal and shocking as I remember. Nothing can compare to the open mouthed shock of the 1st time, but it's still a compelling ordeal to get through. Highly recommended if you have the nerve.

Since July when my dad's health seriously declined, my writing has taken a massive hit. At the beginning of Oct, I put it aside completely as real life took over. Now I've got some time to start work on the book again.

And it's actually in much better shape than I expected. Phew.

I've cleansed the house with sage today. My skeptic husband has admitted to some freaky paranormal activity when I've been away the last few weeks. It's actually been happening since we moved on 16 years ago but he's never slept here on his own in that time. He's preferred to ignore it until now..

OMG. The early 1990s were definitely a time. I'm guessing I've just messily brushed my teeth in this photo. The bathroom in this flat was behind the kitchen and no where near the bedroom. The jeans 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My dad passed away quietly this morning. It's lovely to see the local lifeboat station honouring him with the flag at half mast today. Last March he was awarded for 60 years of service to the RNLI.

This hospital has the most unhealthy food. There's never any vegetables just chips every day. And all the salad options involve pasta and mayo. It's a nice indulgence at 1st but after a week and a half not so much.

After another night at a hospital bedside, this morning I discovered the benefits of dry shampoo. What a game changer. I'm still looking forward to a bath later, but this has really freshened me up.

Last week was pretty awful and this week is not getting off to the best start. So, I've ordered some new underwear to cheer things up a bit.

Not the most exciting dinner. I'm staying in hospital overnight with my dad and the canteen closed at 4.00 😦

I'm doing a pre birthday tarot reading and I initially freaked out when this turned up as my future card. But it's exactly what I need. The next year will be a chance to shake things up and make some major changes. Nothing to be scared of.

It's my birthday tomorrow so I've made myself a dairy free cake. It seems to have turned out alright.

I'm very impressed with this. £2 at the local cheap shop. It looks very impressive switched on. I'll get a couple more if they have any left on Monday. Best Halloween tat ever.

With ongoing issues with my dad's health, I couldn't face my WIP romance book tonight. However, I've noted down the insane ideas for a very dark horror story I had in the car today. This might be my next project, once I get the romance book finished. 🤞

A staring role in a new play could give Hudson the career boost he needs...if the lives that long.

Beyond the darkness - a gripping romance full of tension and suspense.

I'm very pleased with my find from the vintage record stall in Durham today. The 1976 soundtrack to the movie Carrie. Such a lovely score for a horror film. It was a bit pricy but f*** it. I'd have regretted not buying it.
