My father was a Sargent for the sheriff's department my whole life. When my sister and I would get in trouble he would lock us in the back of his squad car and interrogate us from the front. I have an unhealthy hatred of cops as an adult. This behavior is shameful.

I’m horrified by Trump’s order to send 300 National Guard troops to Chicago. We’re only nine months into a four year term and already the president is trying to invade an American city. If you’re in the Guard, you can and should refuse these orders.

One of the characteristics of fascism is the need for an "enemy". This inevitably leads to a "purity spiral". They will make enemies when they run out of the previous enemies and eventually begin purging each other. It's a philosophy of hate, violence, and destruction.
