I find it interesting how @cityofreno.bsky.social was able to solve the homelessness issue on Virginia St during the lights festival….and just during the lights festival.

One nice thing about having the @ctpublic.bsky.social app? Finally getting to watch Ken Burns’ American Revolution documentary…and yes, I get that I’m *very* behind the eight ball…

There’s a not small part of me that wants to just start posting all the random numbers that spam call me in the hopes they get the same treatment back

Anyone else on Duolingo notice how the energy’s been draining super quick on free accounts lately?

Really wish I could get the folks saying I’m not old in a room with the current dating pool who’re acting like I’m a geriatric as I need y’all to get on the same page here…

I’ve had my car for a bit over 7 years now, and just had to get the battery jumped for the first time.

Not bad for that kind of time (or 130k miles)…

Is doing stuff alone better than doing nothing? Yes. Doing everything alone gets real old real quick, though.

Really wish I had a group of acquaintances (or better yet, friends) to do stuff with.

I think there’s a certain irony (and karma) in the fact that the side of my bio family that wanted me swept squarely under the rug is the one I’ve known about my whole life…

While written what seems like eons ago, it’s shocking how well Pink’s Dear Mr President describes the mess we’re currently in the middle of.

Look, I’m not saying that I’ve become a complete misanthrope but there’s something to be said when a double rum & coke is more solid than most of the non-family folks I know and does more for the soul than they do...

One thing I’ve realized while watching old NCIS episodes is they stopped having car scenes once Dodge stopped selling the Charger

Maybe it’s just me but if there’s one restaurant chain that doesn’t work without the kitsch of its in-person experience, it’s Cracker Barrel. I don’t know of anyone who’d go there just for the food.

Decided to go back and rewatch season 1 of NCIS and realized two things…early DiNozzo was a douche, and the current iteration isn’t anywhere near what it used to be.

I’ve come to the realization that In-N-Out is to the west what Dunkin is to New England…not great but decently good and too ubiquitous not to be a cultural landmark

Maybe it’s just me, but would it really be so difficult for Apple to go back to having the camera be flush with the back of the iPhone? Imagine the battery life improvements that would come from having it be just that much thicker…

Anyone else remember when everyone was losing their minds over the teen pregnancy rate? That dropping dramatically has lowered the overall rate.
RFK JR: Our fertility is dropping dramatically. Teenagers in this country have the same testosterone levels as 68 year old men

Wouldn’t be surprised at all, but it’s a question of how quickly that iPhone inventory moves out.

Thinking I’ll go the refurbished route if anything catastrophic happens to my 13.
My bet: iPhone prices hold steady, but Macs get more expensive this week.

Apple doesn't keep as much Mac inventory in stock as it does iPhone inventory. Also, BTO Mac configs almost always ship straight from China to the buyer.

No idea re: Watch/AirPods/iPad/etc
