This circular gold pendant, decorated with cross motif, filigree wires and garnet cloisonné, was created around the 620s AD.
The so-called Canterbury pendant is made from gold sheet. It is worked into cells set with polished garnets backed with a gold foil.

What may be the largest recorded Neo-Assyrian lamassu (winged bull) has been unearthed in the ancient city of Nineveh, Mosul, Iraq. It was found in the remains of the throne room built by King Esarhaddon (681-669 B.C.) and is six meters (20 feet) high.

A rare 13th century gravoir, used for styling hair, has been acquired by National Museums Scotland after being discovered during archaeological excavations at Eilean Donan castle in the Highlands.

An exceptionally well-preserved Roman shipwreck has been excavated from the seabed of Barbir Bay, Croatia.
The boat dates to the 1st-2nd century and is about 12.5 meters (40 feet) long.
