This is really cool! I like that the researchers think it was an “everyday” kind of book - not fancy, just meant to be used.
A family has handed over a 13th century book to the National Library of Norway. Conservator Chiara Palandri says its pages were made of calfskin parchment and that the cover appears to be hairy sealskin. The strap to hold the book together is thought to have been made from reindeer hide.
Eight pages bound in furry seal skin may be Norway's oldest book
The little book is so rare that the National Library of Norway is bringing in experts from around the world to learn more.

13 november 1893, geboortedag van wielrenner Piet Moeskops (Loosduinen, 1893 – Den Haag, 16 november 1964). Tussen 1921 en 1926 werd hij vijfmaal wereldkampioen sprint.
Moeskops is begraven op Oud Eik en Duinen in Den Haag (helaas een onjuiste geboortedatum op zijn grafsteen).1)

In de oorlog hebben meer dan 2000 Joodse mannen, vrouwen en kinderen in Scheveningen gevangen gezeten. De meesten zijn gearresteerd in de onderduik en via Westerbork gedeporteerd naar concentratie- en vernietigingskampen. Bijna niemand van deze gevangenen overleefde de oorlog. 2)
