A day late but here's my contribution to Inktober day 1! When looking for reference photos I came across this Japanese officer from 1904, Gaishi Nagaoka, and I just loved how epic his mustache was! Like how did he even get it styled like this!!

When I'm too tired to paint details, I like to turn to freestyle abstract art.

This one started out completely random. Eventually, it began to look like a wildflower field, so I leaned into it and painted from memory with no reference.

Just finished this sweet pup last night, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

It's a rare and wonderful thing when a painting seems to flow straight from heart to canvas. But this piece unfolded with ease, and quicker than I expected.
