I've never even heard of this one. Your review tells me why that likely is.

Let's dust this one off for those who need a reminder. Past tense of "lead" is "led." It is NOT "lead," unless you're talking about the metal.

This is one of the most common editing corrections I have to make and it drives all of us who know the proper past tense batty to see it so often.

I have a billion words to say (and have written a fraction of them already) but, in the meantime, James Gunn made the exact film that the world needs right now. That it happens to be a Superman movie is a bonus.

So happy to be excited to be in the DC universe again.

You seem happier.

Thanks, I saw #Superman and I haven't stopped vibrating since. It's bright (brave) and bold. Every performance is spot on. It looks and feels magnificent. I have had plenty of time to sit with the film and—and I cannot stress this enough—I don't have a single complaint about it.

Is it weird, tho, that now I want to see W1ll1am in the next M3gan movie? Can we have a crossover between a movie and a book?

I'm always excited to hear about new games, but the reality is that I'm so far behind in gaming that I probably won't be getting around to any of them until they're available used for super cheap and everyone's debating which of the two sequels is better.

Really sad I can't make it! That's a good lineup. Nicole's been doing some amazing work lately on the comics front!

That's true, but I do think he's almost single-handedly responsible for an outsized number of them lately. And unlike the other guy, he was confirmed by a lot of people who should know better.

Everyone was focused on the muskrat. But the real problem has always been the dumbest member of the Kennedy family.

It played a role as well. But that story's set later in his life, where Returns was very much Superman in his prime years, which seems closer to what we're seeing with Jon today.

I enjoyed "Superman Returns" when I saw it in 2006...but rewatching it today, I don't think it's aged well. That's for a number of reasons, but mostly, it's just pretty dull. Still, it has one important lasting legacy, which I discuss in this month's Superman column: www.dc.com/blog/2025/05...

D&D was my favorite of the experiences, but you make a good point about the interactiveness of the IP. (Also, when I saw it, they weren't hiding mics, so something must have happened!) To me, following the same two characters thru the experience helped a lot, which was something that Trek didn't do.

That's the perfect summation. A good first draft. My main thought was that it needed 1-2 more walkthroughs.

I definitely enjoyed what they had there, but I felt like they needed at least one more walkthrough. If it's successful, I have no doubt it'll expand, but the crowds were fairly minimal the night we went. I hope it's doing well enough for them to bring it back! (Also, hi Parker!)

If John Wick in Vegas and Universal Fan Fest Nights do well, I think we’re going to see more non-scary "haunted house” immersive experiences: small groups guided through multiple rooms, linearly, interacting with actors or doing tasks.

Rumors are that immersive Phantom in NYC will also be linear.

That's why I keep sharing it. Most people know nothing about this.

Consider this my semi-regular reminder that Valnet is awful and owns some big sites in geek news that you absolutely should not be frequenting or sharing online. CBR, Game Rant, Screen Rant, Collider, MovieWeb, The Gamer. And now add Polygon to the list.

Kings looked pretty dominant tonight, which is good. I’m not sure I could have handled another game like the last one. #GoKingsGo

This week we’re discussing the back half of The Witcher: Classic Collection, and even though the stories are more familiar, it’s still a doozy! Luckily, we have a bottle of Flóki Icelandic Whisky to help ease our struggles as we tackle the weirdness. Cheers!
