Some call me Tim

I spent more than 15 years as a local news reporter but now I'm a public health graduate student. First novel completed in summer 2024. No, you can't read it. Because it's not good. I'm busy with schoolwork. Portfolio: https://timothychipp.me
Nice view. Merry Christmas to me. Go Sabres!

Dear Buffalo Sabres players: Get your rest, wake up feeling great. Get your meals. And then work your asses off tomorrow. I'll be in the arena for the first time this season and I want to cheer as loud as everyone else has who you've played in front of. Don't take LA lightly: they just beat Detroit.

I know NHL plus/minus is a ludicrous stat sometimes, but I like how every one of the NHL's top 15 players in that stat right now plays for one of 4 teams. Colorado (8), Tampa (4), Utah (2), and one Buffalo defenseman no one saw coming top the list. Of course, no one's close to MacKinnon. Unreal.

Does the Bills promoting Joe Brady to HC open the door for the return of Davis Webb to the organization as the next OC?

I am full-on cheering for Seattle. Sorry, don't know your nicknames (other than "12th" for the fans, because you stole it from Buffalo's 90s Super Bowl teams). But if you could beat the ever-living tar out of the Patriots in two weeks, that would be ideal. Very, very ideal.

I genuinely think it's significantly telling that the BP officers involved in Saturday's execution had to go elsewhere to protect them and their safety. I've spent much of today contemplating that after hearing that bit in the press conference this morning.

Denver paid its price for that deal with the devil to win last week. Devil, or refs, doesn't matter: A deal's a deal.

That said, the entire football world outside of Boston is cheering for the NFC winner in two weeks, right?

Well, the wrong team won the first game

Sometimes, people gotta remember that others have different priorities than they do, and different abilities to focus on certain topics. Not everyone is so focused on the absolute travesty and tragedy happening in MN. We can't preach self-care with one side of our mouths and condemn with the other.

"It's cold here so it must mean that it's cold around the entire globe" stupidity.
This is apparently real. People who voted for him must've wanted someone stupider than they are. I'm sorry, but he's a " low-IQ individual," to quote the Low-IQ Individual in Chief.

Hey Montreal, here comes the Buffalo Sabres!

Anyone in the pathway of this winter storm prediction, please take care of yourselves. This one seems to have some real staying power. Ice isn't something to take lightly. You cannot drive on it. It is literally impossible. No "Challenge accepted" moments, please. Take this seriously and be safe.

I feel like a broken record complaining about the weather in Buffalo. The winters are so abysmal. I definitely think I complain more now, though. I complained before I moved to Texas, but not like this. Now that I'm back after spending 8 years in the desert, any slightly cold air rips my skin off.

Go Bills
January 17, 2026 at 9:28 PM
I really really wish the worst day of the year, weather-wise, wasn't the day the @sabres.com welcomed all their 2005-06 players back for a reunion. I genuinely hope every fan traveling to the game tonight arrives safely and is able to return home safely.

Go Bills

I'm so happy the American people finally *FINALLY* have the freedom to make the choice to kill or maim the children of their neighbors and friends and the people surrounding them in their communities. They've been asking for this freedom for years; decades even.

Seeing the news that Cleveland fired Kevin Stefanski makes me wonder how he actually feels about his bosses giving up all they did to get that sexual assault fucker in a Browns uniform. All those draft picks, plus Baker Mayfield, gone. Just to give the franchise a distraction.

Screaming about politics here feels about as useful as sticking my head in the microwave and turning it on. Am I pissed about Venezuela? Hell yes. What can I do about it on Blue Sky? Absolutely nothing. So, beyond this, I will be absolutely silent. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
January 4, 2026 at 4:58 AM
Happy New Year, everyone. May 2026 bring you what you want most. For me, that's an end to the Buffalo Sabres missing the playoffs. Their current winning streak may help them finally achieve it.

Bills-Eagles thoughts...

Sometimes you have to be aggressive. And sometimes it doesn't go your way. I have zero problems with the Bills going for 2 at the end, and zero problems with the result. If Buffalo didn't want to lose, they could've scored a point in any of the first 3 quarters.

Why do Americans lack trust in the press, Bari? Could it be because you pull shit like this? Could it be the veil of secrecy behind the motivations of management? Could it be people don't know what's real and what's not because of reliance on AI? You and people like you did this. You're to blame.
Read Bari Weiss' new memo that defends pulling a '60 Minutes' segment and says Americans lack trust in the press
CBS News, Bari Weiss, and "60 Minutes" are at the center of a debate after a segment on El Salvador's CECOT prison was pulled.

NHL Hockey post: The Eastern Conference and Western Conference couldn't be less alike if the teams tried. Western Conference has Colorado who is straight slaughtering the rest of the league, and a few teams are straight garbage to go with them.

The Buffalo Sabres have actually won four consecutive games. And they have more wins than regulation losses. Hmm. Maybe a turnaround is in the cards finally? Shit, did I just jinx them?
