to be very fair and literal, still true to the word: “You don’t work with partners using data for training” you do it yourself. :)

I am saying this as a customer of 15 years. I want your products to be good. But the AI arc overall leaves a bad taste.

I remember the YouTrack and I had to deal with the fallout at some of my clients teams for you dragging your feet awfully long to a response.

Which honestly felt like hopping for the best and that time just silences the feedback and makes it go away.

Which is exactly what “if you aren’t the customer“ means. I’ve posted my thoughts on this as reply on the other comment on this post.

The AI strategy was questionable at best from the beginning starting with force installing the plugin causing people to not be able to use the IDEs anymore.

This was also an opt out and people were pretty clear what’s to think of opt out vs opt in.

Again, a valid choice. But none I support.

(Replying from my Bsky accouny)

Your blog post is IMHO pretty clear. You give away the IDE for free and now feel entitled to the work of people to use for your commercial purpose.

That’s your good right. But I dont see any difference between JetBraims and Google, Meta etc. at this point.

One day I’ll remember I have to add a rule for the load balancer to the ECS cluster… six services and it’s always the ALB I miss causing health checks to fail and deploys to retry. At least I know exactly what the issue is the moment I see the first failed deploy on a new cluster :) #aws #devops

hey everybody, we're dropping a bundle of proposals about moderation & safety (& also hashtags) today

we'd really like to hear feedback on them to make sure we're pursuing the right ideas and not missing anything important

We believe that a public commons is important for social media. These proposals for moderation and safety tooling have been in the works for a while, and we’re excited to share them for community discussion and feedback with you now.
