I'm sorry, I wasn't referring to the people of Madrid, but to the government and the politicians who don't seem to be interested in finding compromises. We have the same ones.

Again, my point is not about the local government, but the way the central government came down on the wishes of the region.

It is a general problem. Not one that can't be fixed without coming to terms with the way current politicians are behaving.

I'm saying they are perfect, although I don't agree with the fascism label.

But coming down hard on people expressing their frustrations with the central government is not the best way to go.

And yeah, we carry the burden of our colonialist past, just like Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France and England.

And i do fight against local fascism and I applaud Spains' stance against Netanyahu.

Up to the point of declaring independence, lawmakers had done everything by the book. But Madrid can't lose their grip on the prosperous regions, so they created the legal sticks to hit them with.

Catalunya wanted more self-governance. Madrid won't allow it. That problem won't go away.

Ik zie hierin toch vooral de vingerafdrukken van de VVD die bang is om hard op te treden tegen het bedrijfsleven.

En die leveren de betrokken ministers.

Ja helemaal eens, maar door en in de kamer werd Van der Staaij vaak gezien als het rechtsstatelijk geweten. Dat stokje is door Stoffer niet bepaald overgenomen, maar toch wordt dat nog regelmatig aangehaald. Onterecht.

Kijk, dat de FvD en PVV (plus JA21, BBB) het playbook van Trump en Orban volgen hoeft geen verrassing te zijn.

Maar dat VVD en SGP meestemmen mag bij beider partijen intern toch echt voor flinke discussie zorgen. Zeker voor partijen die prat gaan op rechtsstatelijkheid.

En stemden voor de Antifa-motie. En voor het benoemen als "demonisering" die taal die door de NCTV wordt geclassificeerd als zijnde aanmoediging van extreemrechts.

Dus de meerderheid van de kamer is voor fascisme.
