I need some advise…Should I 2 ply (center-pull ball) this bobbin of tweedy rainbow singles or blend up a plain grey batt and ply it with a no tweed single? 🧶🤔

Just got home from a trip and had to make something. 🐑🧶Threw together this batt that is way out of my norm. Romney, mohair, alpaca, mulberry silk and other odds and ends. It turned out much nicer than I expected.

The Shaniko wool fiber spin is finished 🧶. Haven’t calculated the final numbers but it is a squishy 2 ply.

Just watched a video on solar dyeing. No chance of that during a Montana winter. But I had leftover dye and decided to try gas stove dyeing with sari silk. At the least, it’s pretty 🧶.

Picked up the sleeves this morning on my Gib sweater by @dreareneeknits.bsky.social. I’m using yarn I processed from a CVM/Rambouillet/Merino fleece, spun and hand-dyed. I’m alternating balls of yarn as I knit to prevent pooling and to mask the difference in yarn thickness.
