Looking for a new #audiobook this summer? My latest novel, Between the Salt Water and the Sea Strand, is now available on #Audible! www.amazon.com/dp/B0FB9N822G

Masterfully narrated by the amazing @davidault.bsky.social, it's a fun fantasy romp for the whole family!

You can check out that series in issues 824-832, if you're interested. I had a lot of fun with it.

Concept art for my Neopian Times series The Shadow of Takeryuu, about a group of adventurers in ancient Shenkuu who journey to confront a corrupt emperor. This is Eunji, a soft-spoken yet strong-willed geomancer monk with a knack for bringing people together. #Neopets

Wonderful interview! It's nice to see another Aggron fan, haha. And I totally know how it feels to create something that you consider old and terrible and yet you still get people telling you how much it meant to them. Thanks for another great issue!

Also, there are completely different types of dinosaur named Stegoceras and Stegosaurus, and I need to have a stern chat with whoever is responsible for this.
tkarispe.bsky.social
It's October, so here is a skull.

Marker sketch of a Stegoceras skull from the Idaho Museum of Natural History. Loving that rugosity. #paleoart #dinosaurs

I love when they give away Legendary/Mythical #Pokémon because it's so fun to pal around with demigodly creatures and feed them treats.

Popplio was my first partner in #Pokémon Sun. I was pleasantly surprised with its final evolution!

I wish I'd had this on my binder in junior high.

At the most recent Virtual Fossil Friday, we somehow got to talking about #LisaFrank, and next thing I know, I'm doodling this, and I'm not even sorry about it. #paleoart

The first message board I was ever a part of was the Pojo community board (do you remember The Pojo?) way back when. I have fond memories of sneaking onto the board during my typing class in freshman year of high school. Hey, technically it was helping me practice my typing! 😉

My Zafara Blynn as the Scrivener, a mysterious and dashing rogue who leaves book reviews pinned to walls with daggers, because she does odd things when she's bored. She wrote a couple of literary review articles for the Neopian Times back in the day. #Neopets
tkarispe.bsky.social
She doesn't really read the names of things closely; therefore, everything in Hyrule has been renamed. #zelda #breathofthewild

One last character design sketch for the novel I've been brainstorming for. Goblin warriors are even more effective when a population of robots gives them high-tech gear. #scifiart #sciencefantasy

Now I'm just imagining Bob Ross painting happy little placoderms.
tkarispe.bsky.social
A while back, I decided to do a bit of #paleoart for underrepresented species on Wikipedia, and I thought this one turned out pretty nicely. Xiushanosteus is a lovely little placoderm described in 2022 that's notable for being one of the first known jawed vertebrates.

I had so much fun with that character design yesterday that I decided to sketch out another design for the novel I'm planning. Powered armor with antigravity generators comes in handy when navigating an artificial labyrinth beneath the planet's surface. #scifiart

I've been told they'll be presenting a brand new species of crocodilian from the Wayan Formation. Hence this year's logo.

Just two weeks until eastern Idaho's annual paleo geek-fest! Come spend six solid hours hanging out with researchers and learn what's new in #paleontology! I'll be there asking loads of questions, so come join the fun! #dinosaurs

More playing with markers! I've been tossing around ideas for a third book in the Azhnarroth series and thought it would be fun to give the Earthkeepers some nifty powered armor. #scifiart
tkarispe.bsky.social
And here's the finished version in case you missed it.

Here's a WIP sequence for that painting. #fantasyart #painting

More playing with markers and pencil. This is a character from a novel I've been working on, a fastidious castle chamberlain with a Cockney dialect. #fantasyart

I made this sign to put on my office door when I'm concentrating.

Pretty sure this should effectively keep people away.
