Samuel Alito flew two flags used by insurrectionists.

Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election.

Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the January 6th plot.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.

I think the Greenland threat is a troll. I think.

But it would sure be nice for some senators and GOP house members to speak up now and make it clear that an attack on a nato ally would lead to removal from office

TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force?

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

T: So force is on the table?

M: Nobody is gonna fight the US militarily over future of Greenland

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

All of this is happening because white people got freaked out by a Black president when Obama won,

and have lost their fucking minds ever since.

That asshole came along and scratched their white supremacy itch, and they haven’t been able to give a shit about anything else.

You can’t report illegal acts because you don’t want to compromise them being carried out is an interesting take, if true
NYT, WaPo learned of the secret US raid on Venezuela soon before it was scheduled to begin but held off publishing what they had at the administration's request to avoid endangering US troops

Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.

it's darkly humorous to listen to Trump and his cronies reference the fact that Maduro was indicted in SDNY as evidence he's a dictator and overall bad guy

Im seeing discussions about consultations with congress, authorizations of force etc. I have to say this transcends any of what I would call sub constitutional technicalities. The president has gone to war with a foreign power and, it seems, kidnapped a foreign head of state on the basis of nothing.

You may think that sounds crazy. But when in human history has unchecked sociopathy coupled with limitless power gotten *less* audacious over time? Exactly the opposite is true: when the world’s worst criminals operate with impunity, their crimes broaden. It will be so here, too.

I would think Maduro has head of state immunity from prosecution under international law (with exception for grave human rights violations, see, e.g., Pinochet)
Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Here's a dangerous effort to carve out a loophole in presidential war powers big enough to drive a tank through.

If such an authority existed, the president could invade anywhere, anytime, without involving Congress—just by claiming, without proof, that an attack is "imminent."

So “a million more documents” is now “roughly 5.2 million pages of Epstein files documents”

And they’re “seeking to enlist about 400 lawyers” to do doc review, which means they don’t even have the people yet to get it done

Trump & Pamela Jo are just slow-walking the shit out of violating the law.

I volunteer weekly at my kids’ school. The front desk staff recognize me but still have to buzz me in. I have to show ID and sign in. Of course childcare centers won’t (and should not) let in random people off the streets to see the kids. Dumb AF.
uhhh yeah I can see why these childcare properties weren't eager to let in some rando dudes asking "where are the kids?"
