Excited to say that I am making progress on a writing project I've been dreaming of publishing since I was 10 years old. The third draft of my science-fiction novel is underway and I can't wait to release it into the world the end of next year.

Absolute coward!

Just goes to show how evil their actions are that all reasons and excuses are masked beneath claims of ignorance. "Trust us because we know fuck all"!
RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

Finally completed the Broken Earth trilogy - there's so much to love about it! The imagination and raw emotion in these novels are what make them so worthy of those Hugo Awards. And the last but one line of The Stone Sky hit me like orogeny.

Credit to my secondary school maths students who have never once stated that a value has fallen more than 100%.

Wow, outright demands for ethnic-cleansing from the Trump administration; performing the fascist playbook. It was inevitable unfortunately, but if it's not stopped now, it's looking very bleak for anyone who doesn't "conform". I really hope you can save yourself America!

Let's do this; let's investigate every single one of them - actively prosecute - before they dupe the population into believing their destructive fantasies. If we're every going to improve our circumstances again, we've got to be utterly devoted to accountability.
“Speaking outside his chateau in France, former Brexit Party and UKIP MEP Coburn answered "no" when a BBC journalist asked him whether he’d ever been paid to give a speech to promote pro-Russian campaigners”

Just FFS investigate the whole dodgy traitorous lot of them.

Why is that those speaking in front of the parliament feel compelled to exchange jibes like schoolchildren on a playground? I swear the majority of the budget of civil servants is spent coming up with witty zingers to sling like mudballs across the rugby pitch.

I will never understand the delectability that journalists and politicians have towards the Budget. Reports released an hour before they were officially being announced does not constitute "one for the history books", the majority had already been leaked the past few weeks.

So lucky to have a wonderful boyfriend who makes books out of my novel drafts ❤️. @steffj0n35.bsky.social

Extra special, as this will be my novel debut - The Immortality Paradox - coming in a year's time!

It's so hard to stay positive when the very powerful remain very stupid. COP has and always has been washed by fossil fuel lobbyists; it's only wearing the clothes of progressivism. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

A row over fossil fuels has broken out at COP30 but this is also likely to be a negotiating tactic.

I know I'm talking uselessly to the blue sky on here, but come on! It should be blatantly obvious that mitigating the causes of crime in the first place requires vast societal changes (such as improving welfare, financial security and accessibility), not removing the basic rights of people.

Talk about a guilt-riddled headline. Truthful headline: “I was caught doing something I shouldn’t and I need someone else to blame. Who is blamed for everything? Ah yes!”

Rachel Reeves could do one of the most progressive things a British government has done in years and increase the additional tax rate by at least 1% in the Budget. There's no moral reaon for increasing basic rate - and as all politicians like popularity these days, it wouldn't be popular either!

Just goes to show that these big media corporations and companies are just flimsy pieces of paper in water. To kowtow to the likes of Donald Trump and his ilk is pathetic. Lex deserves better!
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
