THREE days left until SNAP funding runs out. Meanwhile, Gov. Lee sits idly by as Tennessee families face empty pantries. Reminder- House Dems have called on the governor to call a special session to address this vital funding.
While Gov. Bill Lee is busy pointing fingers, Tennessee Dems and other state leaders are taking action to keep children from going hungry. This shouldn’t be that hard: Kids deserve to eat and Tennessee families deserve affordable health coverage.
A majority of states have taken formal steps to protect vital SNAP benefits which are set to run out on Nov 1st due to the federal gov shutdown. Meanwhile, Gov. Lee currently has no plan to protect over 690,000 Tennesseans who rely on the program to help put food on their tables.
