today i got my comp copies of The Transition by Logan-Ashley Kisner, which I did the jacket art for, that was already exciting in itself.

then i read the author's note and i am a mess. after reading all the news in the last week or so, i am simply just a mess.

An overwhelming number of those bills were related to education and health care, targeting children's access not only to medically transition but to social transition as well. For an untold number of youths across the country - around the world - the horror of forced detransition is very real. Beyond this page, please be aware you will be reading about transphobia, sexual harassment and assault, body horror, and the death of several animald, both on and off page. To those who read on - and to the trans kids in particular - I want to say that these real world horrors are not in any way new. That does not make them any less terrifying to face. I did a thing instead of doing ArtFight🎉
