For seven years in a row, #PrimaryCare led ACOs in MSSP have generated nearly DOUBLE the amount of savings of their peers. If we want to fix our health care system, it starts with strengthening and empowering primary care.
According to CMS, primary care centric ACOs once again outperformed their peers participating in MSSP in 2024. It's yet another piece of evidence that when primary care leads, savings and better outcomes follow.

Statement: Primary Care Centric ACOs Continue to Lead the Pack - PCC
Primary care led ACOs in MSSP generated nearly double the savings as compared to other ACOs and had excellent performance on quality.

The Senate just passed a budget bill that would gut Medicaid and SNAP — programs millions of kids rely on for care and nutrition. Cuts this big threaten every child’s health. Pediatricians urge the House to reject this bill and protect kids’ care. www.aap.org/en/news-room...

Rather than passing counterproductive and harmful legislation that would undermine efforts to combat chronic illness, @thepcc.org urge lawmakers in both houses to turn instead to a bipartisan approach capable of advancing pragmatic, evidence-based solutions that strengthen Americans’ health.

Kevin is right - if Congress proceeds with the proposed changes to #Medicaid, it will make it even harder for patients to get the primary care they need.
A lot of justified attention to devastation for patients and hospitals (esp rural) to be caused by Medicaid cuts in budget bill. But will also pummel an already precarious primary care sector 😫
An HCI article highlights a key survey conducted by @larryagreencenter.bsky.social on the potential harm of Medicaid cuts toward primary care practices.

34.7% believe their “practice would lose its financial viability” in the event of reduced Medicaid funding.

I am my most anti-populist when it comes to the issue of politician compensation. it's not a good soundbite but members of congress should be paid like $1m annually and honestly I'd be fine with them not having to pay income tax on it, in exchange for total bans on most private investments.
