minecraft was a special part of my life growing up. nowadays it makes me sick. it has an undisputed iconic status that's unfortunately been spat on multiple times. terraria has its flaws but i will never stop praising it and its dedication. come the fuck on people it's 10 bucks, 5 when on sale

unlike minecraft terraria doesn't rely on mods to survive and be fun and also has a dev team who actually cares who never increased the price of their game, despite the overwhelming amount of content they constantly add in contrast to mc that gets more expensive with time and nothing to show for it

but even then you couldn't give me the excuse that they're "different genres" when most people play it with the goal of beating the ender dragon and stuff anyway? you do the same in terraria except your progression, exploration & everything in general is 1000 times more interesting

i hate to be that annoying mf that loves to talk about how terraria is so much better than minecraft and i get that they're different genres but really the only thing the latter has that terraria doesn't is 3d and infinite worlds. terraria is just genuinely better in every single other way
