In November 2024, Lucas County voters approved a 1-mill bond issue to support capital improvements across the Toledo Library system. The $153 million investment funds renovation, expansion, or new construction across the county over the next decade.
This structure will bear and distribute the weight of the floors, walls and roof. The future library features amenities like natural light, meeting and study rooms, ample room for books, and welcoming spaces for all.
⭐ Building update: Washington Branch ⭐

Construction of the new Washington Branch is advancing on schedule. Steel beams continue to be installed and you can start to see the shape of the 20,000-square-foot building.
