If Chels are bad I am sad
Think he would have more people on side if he’d done a lot more of this last season

I’m seeing a lot of Glasner and Iraola in response to this and elsewhere. They’ve been great for the clubs they’re at, but I’m not seeing the in possession stuff to be convinced for Chelsea.
So let me nervously ask the question. Let's say Maresca doesn't last the season, who do you want and who will we get?

Nobody involved in the situation benefits from Tyrique playing centre forward. He’s wasting dev time there and he isn’t good enough there for Chelsea to benefit

Josh Acheampong hasn’t played a single minute of football since the first game of the season

It’s been laid bare to the decision makers today that this is the culture they’ve implemented at this club. Any of the top three are still in this game.

Higher ups should really be watching that game and self reflecting. Think Maresca set us up fine but some poor quality in areas where we’ve spent a lot of money has let us down. All the while we have the guy they cheaped out on the space required to be the best player on the pitch.

The people behind this ticket system can’t make a bowl of cereal

I know the situation likely required some rotation but there was like 5 players in that team that have barely played any football for us and have never played together. Would’ve gone with a Reece or a Cucurella from the start if you could have.

If Saka struggles with fitness this season I wouldn’t be surprised is Madueke becomes universally rated as a player. Has everything you want from a winger.

This ticket system is incredibly flawed. The loyalty points system is backwards and Ticketmaster has been a complete shitshow.

My only reaction to the news coming out of the US is straight up fear. The political climate in that country is at a really scary point.

There’s mass confusion about this UEFA squad thing. I read that Athletic article as we didn’t meet the quotas from the settlement to register Facundo. And if that’s true, it would explain why we went from Simon’s to Facundo.

What are spurs doing?! You can’t have three strikers
🚨 Randal Kolo Muani set to join Tottenham on a loan.

Agreement reached with PSG with Kolo Muani now formalising the move.🇫🇷

These guys really are allergic to just being sensible. We needed another striker before Delap got injured and the solution to that is going to be Marc Guiu whilst they likely try and get deals for two MORE attacking midfielders.

The age old full proof tactic of literally going awol continues to get players exactly what they want
🚨 Talks ramping up tonight over deal for Alexander Isak to join Liverpool from Newcastle United on #DeadlineDay. #LFC saw £110m bid rejected earlier this summer having previously indicated willingness to pay #NUFC £120m. Now at crunch point

another situation where chelsea are doing good proactive things in isolation, but they solve problems they’ve created themselves. I was always a big advocate for having all three strikers in the squad for load reasons. Delap pulling up in GW3 doesn’t prove me right, but something was bound to happen

The Marc Guiu loan was a bad move from the jump so it’s quite funny that they’re already recalling him
August 31, 2025 at 9:04 PM
I have the upmost admiration for Trevoh’s patience. He didn’t take the nonsense and has proved so many people wrong. I hope Nico locks in and does the same. This team is a lot better with him as a striker option.

There’s a lot of lazy analysis around how Arsenal approach games and a lot of people that defend Arteta’s ideas. But I just feel at some point there has to be some level of expectation? Yes you have injuries but Liverpool have looked very flawed in their opening matches and weren’t unbeatable today.

The good version of this story is they're learning and being disciplined around fees and wages (I think Huijsen just said no and that's embarrassing).

The two counterpoints is this only seems to happen with the "other" players and not the Brighton/City lot.
It all seems… very amateurish doesn’t it.
The very public, and ultimately failed, pursuits of Huijsen, Maignan and Simons (I want to add the successful pursuit of Garnacho 😂).

I don’t care for Simons much but once again Chelsea played their hand publicly in the media for weeks and now a lot of the fanbase who naively got caught up in all of it are now angry. I’m still not seeing the benefit of them moving so publicly with the vast majority or their deals.

I find how fans get attached to players fascinating. People are up in arms because we signed a 21yo winger who has great underlying numbers and 5k minutes in the PL. But then having Olise level crash outs because we’ve allowed a guy who’s not T10 in the Bundesliga in anything to go to Spurs.

I’m braced for the meltdown if the fifth best AM/Winger in the Bundesliga last season goes to Spurs instead of us
