I'm a young and handsome toy poodle enjoying life in the Adelaide Hills with two humans. Hu-mum and I are here to make canine buddies. I love walks, playtime, sun-puddles, treats and Big Dog (my favourite toy). Hu-mum is the centre of my universe 🩷

A most wonderful parcel arrived for me today all the way from @hugoandhuman.bsky.social in England! Inside was a beautiful Kong frog (his name is Wiffle), a toy pea-pod with THE BEST squeaker, a @schnauzerfest.bsky.social calendar that features Hugo, and a lovely card! Thanks, Hugo - we love you! 💖🐾
Tommy the black toy poodle with his new toys which were a present from Hugo the miniature schnauzer in the UK - a fabulous knotty Kong frog (named Wiffle in honour of Hugo's frog) and a toy pea-pod with the noisiest, squeakiest, BEST squeaker you have ever heard! Wiffle has a wonderful croaky squeaker too. Tommy is standing on a bed with a grey quilt and black and white pillows. His new toys are three shades of green. Tommy loves his new toys!

Me at the Annual Australian Kimber Run (for MG vehicles) in November 2021 (when I was a wee lad of five months) and again in November 2023, this time wearing my 'racing colours' 💙😀

Tommy the black toy poodle is standing up at a white concrete birdbath in his front garden and having a drink. He had just returned from his morning walk and was thirsty. Sometimes he would rather drink from an icky birdbath or puddle than his nice fresh water bowl. Tommy is sporting his red harness and lead. His back feet are on green lawn and there is a gum tree and some flowering shrubs around him. Although we live in the suburbs, kangaroos have been known to visit this birdbath for a drink. Koalas occasionally visit the gum tree, and native birds always do. There is also an echidna that passes through - sometimes we see him, but mostly we just see claw marks where he has been digging for ants.

On our walk this morning. I am definitely getting the hang of posing for photos 🩷🐾

On being asked to sit in front of the rosebush he instead went blundering into the undergrowth and sat there instead, thereby creating a much nicer composition than his Hu-mum had anticipated. Good clever boy, Tommy! His schnauzer friends may also be interested to know that during our walks Tommy now hops up on his 'photo schtump' without prompting.

He was very persistent with this behaviour and definitely seeking greater attention than just affection. We soon discovered that Big Dog (Tommy's favourite toy) was in another room behind a closed door and needed 'rescuing'.

Happy Tuesday, friends! I went to the Vee-Ee-Tee today for my annual vaccinations and check-up. They gave me a clean bill of health! Plus I had a pre-vet walk, a post-vet walk, and treats galore. AND because I was such a good boy Hu-mum bought me a Kong rhino! I love him almost as much as Big Dog 💖🐾

Rhino is very soft with a gentle squeak, and Tommy has given him a good thrashing since he arrived home, a sure sign that he likes him. Tommy was a VERY good boy today (both in the car and at the vet), and made his humans very happy.

Gotcha! Four years ago today I came to live with my humans as a cutie-patootie 13-week-old fuzzball. I was the least photogenic (and least cooperative) puppy ever born, but we managed to find a couple of vaguely presentable pics to share 😍🤭
First toys. I enjoy playing tug, but as a puppy chose to tug inappropriate items such as laundry instead of ropes. I don't care for tennis balls, preferring a larger (and softer) football (soccer) or basketball. An early car trip. Helping Dad collect Mum from the station, back when she still worked. I showed great promise as a good traveller, but it was short-lived and I now behave like a complete lunatic in the car. I have practiced the art of hypnosis from a young age, and am now a master. My humans are defenceless, and so are you.

Hu-Dad and Hu-Mum took me for a lovely walk in the National Park yesterday. There has been some good rain recently and the water level of the lake is much improved.

On this occasion, I chose to behave like a complete lunatic with every dog we met. Hu-Dad pretends he's not with us when I do this 😆🐾
