Some protests work aesthetically, as performance art, independently of what one thinks of them ethically/politically: Solanas shooting Warhol, Emily Davison at the Epsom Derby, the fall of Colston. The shooting of Brian Thompson is in that category.

The dates are interesting: this means D Washington had a drink problem when he *played* a guy with a drink problem in the great sobriety parable movie Flight (2012)
