I don't want my comments to diminish the tragedy in DC yesterday. Nothing justifies this shooting. That being said, I can't help but wonder if all the deportations of recent immigrants didn't feel like a threat to this man and his family. He ruined any his life and his family's life now!

That's what the Big Beautiful Bill did! It eliminated loans for nurses to become nurses! RN's to become CRNA's or Nurse Practitioners. Cutting DOWN the cost of Healthcare, not increasing it! This is Republicans running government.? How are we all not dead by now?

As a retired RN and my wife a retired LVN, I am wondering how you nurses feel at having your profession discredited. Disavowed. Cut off from funding for continuing ED? No loans for school. No loans for nurse practitioners to be able to treat your sick infant because they are not a professional!

All this hatred directed at them for no other reason than flat bigotry! If I were them, I wouldn't want to ever come back if I were forced to leave! These folks are just like many other former generations of immigrants. Leaving their home country for a better life!

Lost in all this immigrant hating chaos and deportations is the long lasting effects for future workers from other nations. They are deporting Palestinian doctors, journalists, and business professionals. Not to mention hard working laborers, builders, field hands, pickers, slaughterhouse workers.
