I'm not the best guitarist in the world, that's for sure, but I can make some decent raw solos off the cuff. I love to improvise live so you never know what I am going to do with a guitar solo!

I grew up in the stranger danger so I was irrationally taught to be filled with fear. It took until me taking a chance with someone I didn't know and realizing that they were so kind hearted, that I had been living falsely.

I saw Huey Lewis and the News many years ago and I'll never forget his self-awareness. He is so down to earth and really puts on an amazing show! In a world full of egos, its really refreshing to see someone like him. I know he's having health issues so send prayers his way!

Did you know that most of us naturally have a three octave range in our voices? Its pretty rare for any of us to use that range however. I did so without planning to in the song "Out of My Shell" and realized it after the fact!

Do you know what the speaking frequency of your voice is? I'm in the bass range. When I recorded the monologue to Out of My Shell I found I was right around a D2 or 75Hz. That's pretty darn low!

The classic song Bring Me to Life- Evanescence made me realize that guitar solos aren't always needed. This song inspired me to change up the intro and remove my solo for "Out of My Shell". Sometimes less is more!

I was so frightened that I would hide in the coatroom in front of the school instead of go see the other students. The world can be a scary place in ways many wouldn't understand. I emphasize with you dealing with social anxiety.

I used to feel like I was going to have a heart attack whenever I had to get up in front of people whether it was on stage or just a powerpoint presentation. It took until I learned the skill of visualization before I started getting better.

There was a point in my life where I was unable to communicate with any stranger. I feared for my life. Social Anxiety is tough to get over and I'm here to help anyone going through it now.

I remember hearing this piece of advice "Don't do a dayjob that drains you mentally if you want to take a music career seriously" I didn't listen, running an engineering department ain't for the faint of heart and I often can't even write a decent lyric at the end of the day.

You never know if a person is still thinking about you. Reach out to someone you haven't talked to in a long time and you might be surprised. I wrote the song "One I'm Waiting For" about someone I never thought I'd see again and turns out I was wrong!

I had to fight with my social anxiety and shyness. It really caused problems for me as an aspiring musician as that naturally translated over to terrible stage-fright. I felt like I was having a heart attack every time I went on stage.

People often overestimate how much they are actually doing. I'm very guilty of this. I often have to sit back and write down everything I did in a day and realize nothing was accomplished!

I went to an open mic comedy club and couldn't remember any names of the comedians afterwards. It took me a while to realize why this was the case, but I now believe it is due to no signs, no merch. A lot of us are visual and need to see a name multiple times before we recognize it. Lesson learned!

Did you know that men account for nearly 80% of all suicides in the United States? I've seen family members and friends struggle with suicide and I don't hear enough people talking about this issue. I wrote the song "Going Down" to raise awareness.
