Boris Johnson took 4 days off as NHS warned Covid could ‘overwhelm’ system

Thousands died.

Spent time walking his dog, riding motorcycle, hosting lunches/dinners.

He once said Covid was ‘nature’s way of dealing with old people’, ‘we should let the old people get it’.

Will he be held to account,?

UK and Norway won nature's lottery in 1970 - found oil/gas in the North Sea.

UK squandered wealth, appeased corporations.

Norway levied 78% tax, took direct stake in companies.

Norway now has $1.8 trillion sovereign fund. UK has public finance crisis.

UK Govts still appeasing corporations/rich.

Launched in the early 1990s to invest mostly in bonds, the fund has grown to become the largest of its kind by acquiring small equity stakes in thousands of companies across the world.

Where is the evidence that the UK is a more attractive place for asylum seekers to come to than other countries in Europe? Use of English (a colonial legacy) and family connection are surely the 2 strongest 'pulls'. Leaving aside hotels (which are inappropriate for most)..

November 14th 2018. Trevose Head, 1st year female Pied Wheatear. A much longed for rare bird. Thanks to Pete Roseveare and Bob Bosisto for relocating and putting the message out, I managed to get there by 1pm. And I'd just bought a new Canon 100-400 camera lens so an ideal christening.Magic!

If I've heard correctly, you should remove your tag-line 'environmental campaigner' after you voted against the motion to mandate builders to install Swift Bricks'. These are a valid measure to reverse the terrible decline of our iconic summer bird. Ex-RSPB? Shame on you.

Laws bent for the rich.

Wages taxed at marginal rates of 20% – 45% plus national insurance contributions (NIC).

Capital gains taxed at 18% to 32%, no NIC .

Dividends taxed at 8.75% to 39.35%, no NIC.

Return on wealth must not be taxed at lower rates.
Nothing will change until the political system is freed from the clutches of corporations and the super-rich
The law is being used to enforce existing power structures for the benefit of the few

So it has begun. A Boat-tailed Grackle lands in Hampshire near Southampton.Clearly ship- assisted. A 1st for the UK. But it's a 3.5 hours drive away. And the weather's not great. Worth going for? Looks a pretty bird. Seen its cousins in Trinidad. Do I wish it to disappear, and decision made? Ho hum!
