Let's wait and see. Unfortunately I have no confidence in Rutte
OMG. Are they going to tell Subway to stop doing business in Russia?
Let's hope they dump the GE F414G engine make them with Rolls-Royce Eurojet EJ200s instead.
Europe needs to work with Ukraine to find an alternative long-range weapon to Tomahawk. Given the timeframe, it won't be as good. But hopefully it will be cheaper and effective. Flamingo is a good attempt but surely its' size means that it can be shot down, so something more elaborate is needed.
It's a war crime. Let's say it as it is.
Great to see how Subway are being used to guide the drones. AI in the drones recognises the signage and uses the known location of Subway stores to determine a precise lat/long of the drone.
Thanks Mr Trump for continuing to allow Wendy, Papa John, Subway & Burger King location services over Russia.
My understanding is that the 2 Sandown class minehunters have always been in the UK since the UK donated them. Doesn't this just move the Dutch donated Alkmaar class to be with them
In how many ways can Russia say "we want Ukraine to surrender" before the US will understand?
Between Sep 1939 when the UK entered the war and March 1941 when the Lend Lease Act was passed in the US, the US "gave" no weapons to the UK and insisted that the UK pay cash. Even Lend Lease created debts to the US that the UK did not pay off until 2012. The US made $billions from the UK in WW2
Is it so unthinkable? The parallels are frightening and memories are short. Due to the Neutrality Act of November 1939, the UK had to pay cash for all the weapons it received from the USA until Lend-Lease Act in March 1941. And the debts of the LL Act were not paid off until 2012.
The health and safety policies and working practices at this plant should be used as an example of "Russian best practice" and immediately replicated at all Russian weapons factories
What's wrong me me is that I am sick of politicians from other European countries who haven't paid their fair share telling the rest of Europe what "we should do", when they haven't been doing it. Hypocrites, especially Rutter and Meloni. and it is shameful that they have no embarrassment
Sorry, but the NL has been freeloading for more than 10 years. After the invasion of Crimea and the shooting down of MH17 and the 2% commitment, NL reduced its spending to 1.13% in 2015. Here's your graph of shame. www.statista.com/statistics/8...
Ratio of military expenditure to GDP Netherlands| Statista
In 2023, the ratio of military expenditure to gross domestic product (GDP) in the Netherlands stood at 1.53 percent.

That's great. But it was what every NATO country pledged to do in....2014.
A start for "A lot more" would be for the NL to spend >2% of its GDP on defence, something it has not achieved for more than 30 years when many other European countries have done so.
If the Ukrainians said they were going to rename them as "Trumpahawks" he'd send hundreds of them
I used to be able to say it in Italian
I've localised it to the bottom of that enormous cloud of smoke ! 😁
Since MGI are happy to allow partner countries to manufacture these under license, I hope we'll soon see Tigershark being produced in Ukraine.
That's what they call a "domestic" flight
