The most common one I hear is “why doesn’t the military get a month.”

May is Military Appreciation Month. It has been OFFICIALLY for 25+ years, after the decree for it passed congress in 1999.

The fact that no one does anything for that is on them. Celebrations of a community come from within it.

MOST things have a month/week/day of celebration, find it.

And remind them no one throws Pride FOR us. We get permits, arrange events, etc.

WE put in the work.
