Brussels - Midi in 1930. Taken down in 1949 to build the Midi-Nord tunnel - would have been a great Eurostar entrance !

Heading into the Channel Tunnel today on train 9044 and celebrating a historic moment: on 1 December 1990, 35 years ago, French and British teams broke through and met under the sea for the first time. Thanks to their achievement, our Eurostar trains now cross the Channel in 20 minutes.

There’s #Eurostar 9153 ready for London St Pancras. Almost 150 extra passengers on board today , most likely due to the airport disruption caused by a cyber attack.

Brussels-Midi when it still smelled of chocolate with the Côte d’Or factory next to it ( on the Eurostar side) The Senne river is now covered up ( although there are calls to open it up again)
