These annual Conferences are so pivotal for us as a team of multidisciplinary professionals and we are already looking forward to next year! 🙌
We loved hearing the incredible keynotes and soaking up the wisdom from @betsydethierry.bsky.social along with other specialists in the field - Dr Graham Music & Dr Elly Hanson who were speaking on about emotional neglect, child sexual exploitation and abuse & how to facilitate the recovery for CYP!
Our Trauma Recovery Centre (TRC) Staff Teams gathered together to attend the Trauma Recovery Global Conference last week... and what an incredible two days they were! ⭐🧠
We're excited to hear from our Founder & Chair of Trustees, @betsydethierry.bsky.social, alongside Graham Music, at the TRG Conference on Friday! Don't miss out if you are able to come!! See you there 👋👋👋

In 2014 we were delighted to be commended as a "gold standard provision" by The Rt Hon. Justine Greening, then in Office as Secretary of State for International Development. Years may have passed but we continue to regularly hear of how needed our TRCs are throughout the UK!
We love to help our clients understand their own brain & therefore their responses & reactions to things! It empowers them to understand why they do things & helps them know that they are not bad or mad- but usually just scared. Here's Rosy, our Clinical Lead in Guernsey, with a foam brain!! 🧠✨
Well done to all the professionals fighting for a better future for children and young people! Facilitating emotionally safe spaces to help children heal and recover is such a core and essential component of social justice and one we continue to consider a privilege to provide!
Whether you are a parent, carer, professional, someone bravely on the recovery journey or just looking to learn - we can't speak highly enough of this amazing book by @betsydethierry.bsky.social ! 📚💡 "The Simple Guide" series is available in bookstores globally as well as in each of our TRCs!
We love this quote from Professor David Shemmings OBE who visited our Bath Centre!!

We are grateful to have such fantastic facilities and love welcoming families around our Centres, which have been so carefully designed and curated to help those we support feel safe and enable recovery from trauma🧠
We support CYP for as long as it takes & we do believe that our Partnership with the Trauma Recovery Focused Model (@betsydethierry.bsky.social) is enabling us to work with our recovery lens to view all symptoms of distress as signs that recovery and healing are needed!

Systems in our nation need to change and shift in focus to help children and young people recover from trauma - rather than being offered short term solutions that are only focused on managing symptoms - symptoms which have developed due to the impact of trauma experienced!
Are you familiar with our client testimonials and the many stories of hope from families which we share? Week in and week out we hear how desperate families are for our specialist provision and how the TRC can help them to recover from complex trauma... More info in our bio! 👋
It's a privilege to provide a long term, relationally central, warm and genuine, environment where both adults and children report that they feel cared for, emotionally safe and able explore some of the worst aspects of their lives! This is just one statistic from our recent year in review!
