I’m not sure usually we do our scenic drive after Thanksgiving but the long summer and fall drought has had trees shedding their top leaves. Some of the reds turned in a day and dropped their leaves. The colours of distant hills are less radiant and greyed by bare branches.We’ll go back in 10 days

I am alarmed that so many jobs offered for writers these days are to coach AI developers to take our jobs. I suspect all these clickbait stories in FB are EI generated. They are all so shallow and one dimensional.

There is a woman Archbishop of Canterbury. Praise the Lord. I have five Anglican priests in my English family. When my late uncle was a priest, this was unthinkable. This is not DEI this is the Holy Spirit moving in the church, finding the best for the times we are in. God speaks thru women and men

Trump’s Gaza deal might be more impressive if he hadn’t suggested sending all the Gazans to Egypt and rebuilding Gaza as a luxury vacation spot for the ultra rich several months ago. There has to be a win for Gazans too.

Nor would I . The trans people I know have been awkward broad shouldered women and rather Peter Pan like men. I have to say a line backer with a full bushy beard and wearing a hot pink rumpled sundress would be unsettling to meet in a washroom. But that’s not the norm

Allow them to use handicapped washrooms. They are usually single stall toilets and so no one needs to feel uncomfortable

Actually I remember my doctor saying don’t take any unnecessary pills and don’t drink alcohol. This continued after birth for the months of breastfeeding. It’s probably why I rarely take any meds except for the occasional Reactin for hay fever and I turned to the comfort of hot water bottles .

I was asked about a DNR when I got into hospital. Fortunately there was no room in ICU for me so I wasn’t intubated. Just the nose tubes. But I had double pneumonia and things were iffy

We immigrated from Scotland in 1956. I was 10. But I’d lived in South Africa, England an Virginia before the 3 yr Scotland stint. It was however the home of my best child good memories
