Our new over the range microwave has a tiny 2" full colour LCD screen and my immediate first thought when it powered on was "I wonder if this could run Doom" :P

As incompentent as he is, this feels heavily on brand.

He imagined witnessing a fake drug overdose on his way to the campaign debates.

I'm sure him imagining that he's a prime target for the chopping block is unlikely since anyone else in the BC Cons would be eaten alive politically as leader. :P

Granville Rec Room tomorrow night! Come on and make some noise, and dance like EVERYBODY is watching. Cuz they will be. You’re a star now, kid. You shrug and the world collapses. So get up there and show us the musical demons you harbour inside of you! Starting at 8pm. #bonusstagevan #yvr #karaoke

Uncorked mayonnaise implies the existence of corked mayonnaise, which implies if it doesn't come from the Mayon Neighs region of France it's just sparkling emulsion.

It's sad/funny you say this as I just made this meme today in regards to a similar topic...

When I worked for the old Buy-Low in White Rock, we could set our own prices based upon our costs, but had to adhere to flyer prices.

One time a flyer price was higher than our regular price, so the sale tag read "You save -$0.50!"

Rock Band's not dead! It happens every month on the last Friday* at The Rec Room Brentwood in Burnaby, BC presented by @bonusstagevan.bsky.social and featuring my ungodly huge song catalogue which is now over 1600 songs!! :P

*(assuming doesn't conflict with holidays or special events)

Old Smart TV (with usable features/integrations) > Dumb TV > New Smart TV that thinks its smarter than me, but is actually dumber than a Dumb TV (Oh, like that isn't seemingly relfective of our current state of affairs...)

And there it is, another of the many reasons I swore off LG. :P

I said in another post to a friend, I would pay any reasonable amount of money per month to have full digital access to any and all art and media for convenience.

But that's with the understanding that it goes towards preservation, not product peddling.

And $1/day for a single "service" ain't it.

Something something, technically Apple products can only have worms, not viruses. :P

I have said I would pay any reasonable amount of money to have access to any and all art and media that has existed.

However, that would never work under our current failing capitalism because they want products, not preservation.

But I would never pay $1/day for just one single service like this.

The eyes say "What are you going to do to me?"

But in the bad/fearful way, not the bratty/sexy way.

Also, at least the art was appreciated by the patron. Now it's just traded like hockey cards in order to launder or hide money.

Everytime I hear "Famous art piece sold at auction for $50M, previously sold for $30M five years ago" I cringe very hard, they just see monetary value not an artistic one.
travisdstewart.bsky.social
It's kinda always been that way, art as a product. But at least once upon a time, an artist was funded by wealth to just create art, the trade-off was it became the property of the patron.

Not perfect, but a seemingly better system than grinding for hours in hopes of selling prints to compensate.

Jeez, and I thought that cringe as fuck Walmart nostalgia slop video was bad. :P
