The word bug has truly hit us. An A to Z retrieval activity generated a question about the etymology of X-ray. One quick google later and we had our answer.

Exploring confection in morphology led to children wondering about the etymology of confetti and if the two were related. They felt it was Italian because of the illegal i at the end. Right on both accounts! Confetti was originally small sweets thrown during Italian carnivals.
