Just hoping to see some beautiful nature and hear some news with minimal screaming :-) Need to keep working for whatever change we want. Photos are mine just whenever I’m walking around.
A photo of a rose in my garden after a light rain. Taken by @americanpika.bsky.social ...thank-you for the pick me up :-).

Patience paid off for me to catch this photo and for the Black Crowned Night Heron to catch some dinner. We both were pretty excited! #birds At the ponds in Arcata, CA.

Naked Ladies time of year! Or some call them Pink Ladies. Naked because the leaves die off before the flower buds arrive and Pink because pink :-) #bloomscrolling

Sierra Columbines are in bloom right now. Usually white with some with tints of pink or yellow. They grow above about 8000 feet in rocky areas looking very ethereal. One of the flowers you come home with so many photos because each seems to be special in some way. #bloomscrolling, #sierras

Western Roseroot usually in high, damp places. I think of it as a succulent and it grows in large mounds. #bloomscrolling

If you are ever walking by a small snowfield with water running under it, go ahead and get a little wet trying to see what it looks like under there! #sierras

Pussypaws up near Sonora Peak, CA. Dry, windy, rocky but these flowers were happy and beautiful. Lovely time to be hiking in this area. #bloomscrolling

Gulf Fritillary on the backyard tomatoes. One was sitting and the other fluttering above it. Mating behavior?

Calliope hummingbird, first I’ve knowingly seen. Tiny and a windy day so it was fighting to land and stay on it’s perch. Excited to see those bright red throat feathers flared! #birds

Bitterroot wildflowers growing in a gravel hillside. They bloom very close to the ground and although they probably have leaves, they aren’t noticeable. Even though they are very showy, from any distance you would not see them. #bloomscrolling #wildflowers #stunday

For anyone who needs a little shot of cuteness or who just likes chipmunks and flowers. :-). I was taking pictures of birds and saw some leaves rustling so thought it was another bird. Nope it was this little guy also eating flowers.

I think this is Alpine Jelly Cone (please tell me if not). Found while hiking on a partially snow covered trail on some wood in the snow melt. Never seen this before and a cheerful small spot of color. #fungifriends

Hiking in the June Lake area, California. Snowy Sierras and Phlox starting to bloom. One of my favorite wildflowers because they are very exuberant and live in pretty harsh conditions so always a joy to see. #wildflowers #SierraNevada

Trump: “Well, maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls, you know? And maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more than they would normally.”

Or for some children they will have no dolls instead of one.

Charlotte’s Phacelia. Rare (1B.2] flower in Inyo County California. The color is amazing and quite difficult to take a good photo of. #wildflower

Just managed to catch this Northern Harrier as it was taking off…usually would have a photo of an empty fencepost.😁 Feel so lucky! That’s the Sierra Nevada in the background. #birds

I believe this is a Red Lined Moth on a Scale Bud flower. It looks so much like the flower is hugging the moth sleeping there. #wildflowers #insect #moth

Spider hiding under a buttercup. A curious little spider or maybe I was the curious one. #wildflower, #arachnid
