Okay, Exploding Pickaxe is still the GOAT. Solo'd guardian in NG+, no specter/star fragments needed. Strategy for this one was to just count hits and play to his rhythm. Took about 60 swings with a fat crit at the end. Very satisfying! ⚒️

Update: ended up staying up late playing the Lies of P DLC. Veronique was really difficult, and maybe the most fun stalker battle yet. Can’t wait to try out her hammer! 🔨

Elden Ring is pretty good when you don't have a bitch in your ear complaining about uneven power-scaling, copy-and-paste bosses, reused assets, a flawed open world design and artificial difficulty added by tedious platforming puzzles. I'm glad I stuck it out this far, looking forward to the DLC. 🔥

I’ll hold my review for after its over but lvl 93 in Elden Ring and I feel pretty burnt on the repetition. Perhaps a caveat of open world design but the asset reuse is staggering. I had high hopes for Leyndell but it felt like Lothric Castle for dummies. Might take a break and go back to Sekiro.

Playing co-op Souls games really shows us alot about how we approach problem solving. Its all about sharing frustrations and solving puzzles together, overcoming adversity through patience, curiosity and co-strategy. Kind of like a test kitchen for how to handle actual problems together.
