The buzz of football was always my escape from the rubbish that my brain can concoct.

However, the last two years I've gone more with the mindset that no matter how rubbish I think I am, there's always something more rubbish in comparison.

Oz would walk into this team, which says everything.

We went to watch Weston recently, Waite was on the bench, and their striker was miles better than anything we've got. I don't think we'd get out of National League South with our current squad.

I realised I had no hope left when someone threw themselves down in the area at one stage and I heard myself say, "there's no point even trying to con a penalty, because we can't even score them."

The football is becoming an interruption to a 90 minute chat with my son or my football friends now.

I said to @dredbridges.toot.wales.ap.brid.gy that it's very rare that I look at a player and think I could've done that, but when I was younger I could definitely have run around not affecting a football match for 65 minutes, like Spellman. (Touch of a 3 year old is how I described it!)
