This week saw the conclusion of the commercial simulation of the future Madrid–Badajoz rolling motorway, which will also underpin the Valencia–Badajoz link and could eventually be extended into Portugal.

This week saw the conclusion of the commercial simulation of the future Madrid–Badajoz rolling motorway, which will also underpin the Valencia–Badajoz link and could eventually be extended into Portugal.
The initial three days of industrial action at Iryo in response to the stalled collective bargaining negotiations saw an average participation of just 15%, without any noticeable impact on passenger services.

Adif has commissioned Ineco to draft the studies and design projects for the integration of the railway through the urban core of Jaén, ruling out any underground works and keeping the station in its current downtown location.

Luxembourg-based rail leasing firm NEXRAIL has signed a contract with Stadler Valencia for the construction of up to 200 hybrid locomotives from the EURO9000 family. This marks the biggest locomotive order ever received by the factory.
