ICE has shown itself to be a criminal enterprise and needs to be dealt with as such when the current regime is removed from office. This means abolishing the agency, terminating the employees and management, conducting a full investigation and prosecuting officers and superiors as facts warrant.

Turn the current SCOTUS building over to the Library of Congress and make the new court conduct its hearings in the basement of the Capitol building, like it did for most of its history as a reminder as to which body has final say over how our government is structured and operates. (9)

Decisions would still be subject to en banc review as Circuit Court opinions are now. It has been easy for reactionary forces to obtain the five seats needed to rule by judicial fiat, much harder to control 176 when one does not know when or if they will serve on the panel and for what case. (8)

Congress must strip the SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction and create a new court of final appeal staffed by judges of the Circuit Courts of Appeal, sitting for temporary terms in rotation, then returning to the circuit court to handle their normal case load. (7)

They get to choose the cases they hear. They are not formally bound by precedent, or by a code of ethics. They answer to no one, the impeachment power an empty threat. This legal freak cannot be reformed. (4)

They are not chosen for demonstrated competence in Constitutional Law, or for a record of judicial wisdom, or by the judiciary over whom they will exercise suzerainty for life. The SCOTUS is a legal absurdity. As Judge Posner noted, they are not a real court, but a political body. (3)
