It was easy to study in high school
- read book once
- underline
- re-read
- repeat to themselves
- pass exam

And I forgot pretty much everything a week later

On track to reach $300 in sales on KDP this month
If it happens it would be my best month in 5 years

The result of
1) Writing about what readers want, not what I want
2) Focusing only on self-publishing and no distractions

And listening to amazing people like @rocketshipalx 🚀

In 2021, I felt depressed due to unchallenging work and selling my side project.
It felt like burnout, so I paused everything, and took a sabbatical.

I didn't improve until 2 years later when I began freelancing, I was happy again
Upset about the time lost, but at least I learned about myself.

Fitness goals of 2026

Unrealistic?

Launched my Quantum Physics for Beginners book in December
Almost 200 copies sold already

Looking good and planning at least 6 more books in 2026!

90% of engineers (including me) have no marketing skills
The problem is that most of them think it's below them and their work should speak for themselves

In reality you must market yourself all the time
Even if you are employed, no job is forever

No way!

I don't deserve to be next to Feynman and Shankar
But will enjoy while it lasts
December 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM
I'll say it in Italian

Buon Natale a tutti

There is my gift for you
You learned something

Last week I asked for a few recommendations for non fictions books

Got a lot fo feedback
If you are looking for something to read in the next days, these are the top ones!

Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions!
I think I have plenty to read until February at least

Earlier this month I published a new book

After the free promo sales dropped drastically
But now they are picking up in the last few days

I like this trend, it looks quite healthy

I thought I read everything Feynman wrote but I was wrong

In his Nobel lecture, I found this entertaining account of how he got the idea of the path integral into a conversation with Herbert Jehle while drinking beer at Princeton

The importance of drinking (and socializing)

Finally, snow!

I have been living in warm countries for 30+ years of my life and I realized I really enjoy cold and dry winters

I mostly feel awful in European cities like Milan in summer, with super high humidity and 35 degrees
Instead a walk in the park with -5 or -10 makes leaves me focused

Struggling to keep my focus, on thing trusting the process and hoping for the best

I launched my book at the end of November and it's been a little underwhelming so far, but I keep high hopes

Check it all in my November report (link in the nex post) ⤵️

I don't like the Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, but it's mostly a matter of taste, as with all the interpretations.

Among them, the only ones I like are the spontaneous collapse theories. Because they can be falsified and constrained by experiments.
