Thinking Things with Graham Harman: Whitehead’s Way Beyond Philosophies of Human Access
Rahul Samaranayake has had me on his podcast a few times over the years, including an especially generative conversation with Peter Rollins last year. This time he invited me and Graham Harman into dialogue. Below is the transcript.  Whitehead popping Kant's phenomenal bubble. RAHULIt’s funny. I was reading some of your articles, Graham. You mention Whitehead quite a lot.

Damn, power really does make people sociopaths, doesn't it? Exactly why we should redistribute it. New Epstein files surely show depravity has no limits.

After the overwhelming number of recent LLM-based product launches, can we still say these are mere rote token-prediction machines? Based on the findings of mechanistic interpretability and insights from epistemology, Pierre Beckmann and Matthieu Queloz say otherwise.

One of the best discussions of AI I've seen in a while, because it's deeply informed by philosophy AND computer science. LLM’s are more than just “stochastic parrots”, but their understanding is still nonhuman. The discussion of concepts, understanding, and world models is especially informative.
