Also the boycott came with the announcement of FF, Spiderman, and standard playable. Prior it was fine, so the push triggered the boycott.

I'm not too interested in a commander variant but at least one person in my playgroup is actively boycotting UB products. I think that speaks to some people's sheer annoyance with the percentage of UB, it in standard, premium pricing, etc

With so many major magic people echoing magic is in a bad place overall, I wonder how the Commander Format Panel members feel. They just came from WOTC and seemed positive about the game

The cool thing about Magic the Gathering is how it uses the mechanics to tell the story of a card. Final Fantasy is also a series invested in developing a narrative through mechanics. The Spider-Man set is “what if Spider-Man was here”
