Smallest possible self-hosted language would have a single command: print the code of the compiler. Which means the compiler of such language is essentially a Quine.

Imagine Gen AI never happened. The Internet is in its pre-pollution era. Now imagine somebody adding this button with non-AI features. MS Paint style. Like drawing over the original image and placing text. Why would you need to streamline this specific workflow on Twitter?

I've seen some people being sad that it's probably not humans who's gonna be exploring remote stars, but robots. I think the future might be actually far more depressing. Nobody will be exploring remote stars because we can just generate an AI slop of how they look like up close.
