Another reason people are upset is that they went to telegram because it wasn't like everywhere else, it was a place they could go and have a private moment without fear of their government finding out, an example is Russia, if you're gay there and they find out through tele, you won't be alive soon

The main reason why people are upset is that it was supposed to be a private platform where no one could spy on you. The best comparison I think I can give now is you're having sex with someone and before the door was closed, now someone has opened it a crack and is watching you, breathing heavily
