The background is from some river redgum floorboards and the lettering was lasercut from a mixture of 9mm and 3mm ply with the 3mm ply stained with a walnut stain. This coffee grinder was made from a reclaimed timber pylon that we've had for a few years. I did seal the timber thoroughly - especially inside - to ensure the product is food safe. I love the wavy pattern of the grain.

I made these little drawers for screws, nuts and bolts with the idea that the entire drawer can come out and you can take it with you. The handles are they colour coded and have a little hole in them to hold one of the screws or bolts so you can identify the box you want easier.

One of the things I have been working on is carving this little wombat - nicknamed Phillip. I would like it to eventually be a comfort wombat in the style of a comfort bird. A nice little project to keep my hands busy while watching TV. #wombat #comfortwombat #comfortbird #turtleandrosecreations
