Butch Gets Schooled: Conversations with Tony Tost, Part Four

I remember Dr. Phil Carman introducing me to everyone at the CWT (Center for Writing and Thinking). At the time it was nestled away in what seemed like a forgotten corner of campus.

From REJECTAMENTA: The Hawthorns
Version 1.0.0 Dear Bees, Hello! I haven't posted in a while. Life and work. But there are more conversations and essays coming soon. In the meantime, I wanted to talk a little about my new favorite poet, one I want to write more about, Antomio Ganomeda. A towering figure in Spanish literature, his poems are visceral and visionary. They blow my mind.

It covers a lot of ground: pop psychology and TV, a discussion on the use of politics in the industry, a fascinating look into what kind of creative and logistical considerations go into Tony’s filmmaking process, and an illuminating discussion on influence.
