A day late, but happy birthday to Dave Robinson who served as prop master (S1) and painter (S2, FWWM) on the #twinpeaks crew, but you might recognize him as the “Georgia Peach” from Jacques Polaroid. It’s been a pleasure getting to know Dave over the last few years. He’s as humble as he is funny.

I visited a few years ago, and it was hard not to do a speed run through the museum to get to this 😂

Just look for James Ellis’ Twin Peaks graphic novel among the vendor tables - he’s agreed to look after the props and display them alongside his wonderful artwork. Thanks James!

Exciting news for prop lovers attending the Mahoning Drive-In’s “Wild World of David Lynch” event this weekend! I’ve sent a small collection of screen-used props to be displayed throughout the event. I’m sorry I can’t be there, but I hope you’ll enjoy this bit of #twinpeaks magic in my absence.

Yep! That’s what’s left of Mo’s Motor. The building was torn down some time ago, but they haven’t built anything new on the lot. Still identifiable by neighboring buildings that are unchanged.

Fire Walk With Me hit US theaters 33 years ago on Aug. 28, 1992. Production returned to the Snoqualmie Valley and established new locations in the #twinpeaks universe. Here are a few locations as they appear in the real world, all photographed in the last year. Do you still recognize them all?

Happy birthday to #twinpeaks most charming showman, Ray Wise. This past February during The Real Twin Peaks event, he stopped by the Moose Lodge for karaoke after his meet and greet at the North Bend Theatre, singing “Mairzy Doats” and “Getting to Know You” - two of Leland Palmer’s greatest hits.

I lucked out with this one. I was buying a collection of scripts from a crew member and he said “oh by the way, I found this too!” I could never justify the price of the occasional eBay listing, so I could’ve cried!

I love artifacts that offer a glimpse of what it was like on the #twinpeaks set. These placards were used to identify vehicles parked on the City Studios lot during the original run. To my knowledge, this font wasn’t used in any other official branding. More on Twin Peaks Blog: tinyurl.com/mvb37tdk
Beige parking placard with brown print reading “Lynch/Frost Productios” across the top. Below, “TWIN PEAKS” is stylized with a large T and S. Across the bottom is a misty mountain range graphic.

In 1987, Butch told the Issaquah Press that they were given $800 and a month to move the store from its previous location due to construction of SR 10. They also built the house across the street and lived in it, just like Ed and Nadine Hurley in #twinpeaks.

Big Ed’s Gas Farm was originally located at 8606 Preston-Fall City Rd SE in Preston, WA at the former site of Butchy’s Service Station & General Store, built by Butch and Agnes Fredeen in 1940. Butch and his store appear in the new Images of America: Snoqualmie Valley book, published July 1, 2025.

Very sorry to hear that Rebekah Del Rio has passed away. An immense talent. I could never forget her voice after hearing “Llorando” in Mulholland Dr and was glad to see her in the Twin Peaks revival. Here she is singing “No Stars” in North Bend, WA in Feb 2023. Farewell to La Llorona de Los Angeles.

In 1994, Wrapped in Plastic held a write-in contest where readers could answer trivia questions to win magazines signed by #twinpeaks singer Julee Cruise. Read more as Twin Peaks Blog’s “Julee in June” coverage continues: tinyurl.com/tpjc94

True. Some of the things left were a little unclear in their purpose even with all available context, but I’m going to assume they were left with good intentions.

Finally got to visit David Lynch’s resting place yesterday and left some art, a note of thanks, and a blue rose among the tributes. While there, a turtle stopped by and a bee investigated a Lego flower. I have to think a person of David’s curiosity would love this variety of visitors. #davidlynch

When #twinpeaks returned in 2017, I was pleased that the marketing embraced ephemera from the original run. This enamel pin was a recreation of a gift that David Lynch designed for the crew in 1990. A photo of an original pin (third photo) can be found in the Season Two Music & More vinyl release.

I don’t know if it will ever end up on display elsewhere, but the Log belongs to Catherine Coulson’s daughter. As I understand it, this was specifically an effort to raise funds/awareness for a cause Catherine championed at WFC while also celebrating her legacy. Perhaps it will return there someday.

Lol, thank you. I had a long drive back to think about how to display it and I ordered that as soon as we got home.

One incredible detail - this was sold at the Twin Peaks Memorabilia sale in Van Nuys in 1991 after the original series ended, and the purchaser taped the receipt under the footrest - signed off by Lynch’s assistant Debby Trutnik. You can’t hope for better provenance after 30 years.

In 2021, I drove 800 miles to pick up Nadine’s rowing machine - a #TwinPeaks prop featured in episodes directed by both David Lynch & @markfrost.bsky.social - which was posted on Craigslist. It’s mounted above my fireplace, but I display it at events when possible for fellow fans to enjoy up close.

This was part of a larger packet containing dining and entertainment options, all of which I will eventually scan and compile for a Twin Peaks Blog article. Maybe a tad niche, but I live for these details about what went into producing my favorite art.

Days before #firewalkwithme began filming in WA, the Twin Peaks cast/crew received a memo detailing amenities that might be of interest during their stay at the Red Lion Hotel in Bellevue with an emphasis on laundry options as the shoot would last over a month. A peek at real life during production.

As Twede’s Cafe prepares to refresh its “RR2GO!” mural following stucco repair, I thought it’d be fun to look at the diner pre-Showtime facelift. This was my first photo at a #twinpeaks location, taken August 2013. In September 2015, the blue/red mural was painted and filming for The Return began.
Vinnie Guidera poses across the street from Twede’s Cafe in North Bend, WA on August 2, 2013. At this time, the diner was painted white with the words “TWEDE’S CAFE, HOME OF TWIN PEAKS CHERRY PIE” in an approximation of the show’s signature font.

According to longtime Peaks memorabilia trader Bruce Phillips, only 250 of the mugs were made. Knowing how difficult it is to track down ephemera from the original run decades later, I’m glad I was able to grab these on eBay before they became too hard to find.

When the #twinpeaks revival premiered in LA in May 2017, an afterparty was held at Clifton’s - a perfect spot complete with a realistic indoor redwood tree. This chevron “TP” emblem was designed by David Lynch for the event and appeared on everything from mugs to a logging truck parked outside.
